hello, remember me?

Hello, I don't know if you remember me but I am the nutjob who decided it would be s a great idea to start a blog!!!
So let me start by apologising for being so naughty and leaving it this long between posts, it got to the point where it was a bit like that bill, you know it needs paying but you'll just put it off a wee bit longer!
Everytime I thought about sitting down and blogging there was something else more important to focus on, you know family life and all the stress and strain that surrounds it!

Enough of this digression, lets get on to business, I have done quite a bit of crafting over the last few months, but to save boring you all to tears with it the longhand way, I shall add a few photos into the gallery.

So, onto my latest project, we recently took delivery of the Lucy Cromwell, Home to Nest papers and stamps from DoCrafts, and as stunning as they are, the little bird stamps were tiny, and not great for showing off my colouring, so I dusted off my drawing pad and pencils and had a go at drawing a little Blue Tit,
And if I do say so myself I didn't do that bad a job.

I then coloured him with Flexmarkers from Letraset, trying to get as much texture into him as I could.

The colours I have used are:
Dove Grey
Dolphin Blue
Navy Blue
Pale Citrus
Aniseed
Pear Green
And a tiny bit of Yellow, just under his chin.
I also used a white gel pen to add the highlights.

The branch is:
Champagne
Blue grey 2& 4
And a tiny bit of Cocoa.

I then made him into a fathers day card, using the Ultimate Die-cut pack of the Home to nest range.
I cant tell you how much I love all the Lucy Cromwell ranges from DoCrafts, and it won't be too much longer for you to wait to see  the new CHRISTMAS stuff coming out, there I said it that dreaded C word, I have seen the full range and had a stroke and a sniff and believe me you will  LOVE it!! I even have a couple of bits to play with already so as they say, Watch this space!
Happy crafting you lot
