New Summer Promarkers Steampunk card part 1.

Hi everyone, I just want to start by saying sorry I keep changing the blog background, a couple of weeks ago I had a real problem with the original background so messed about changing it and then decided I didn't like it !
So, I have hunted around a bit and finally found one I am happy with and am in the process of finding a way of importing a few photos onto the header so bear with me while I sort it, if any of you clever folk out there have any suggestions just let me know in the comments box below !

So onto my latest acquisitions, I received a letraset delivery this week containing some restock items for the shop but also the new summer limited edition packs, as well as a kanban delivery so could not resist getting to work straight away !

I have used the Jasper set of stamps from kanban, they are just so flamboyant I felt they deserved some flamboyant colouring!!

The only colours I have used are the limited edition summer Promarker 6 pack, with the exception of a little satin for the mannequin head.

To get the different colours all I did was to combine 2 or 3 colours together , so to get his jacket I used Island lagoon, lime twist and summer sun.

I also coloured the butterfly with Lime twist, and the ribbon with lime twist running into island lagoon.
I stamped the cogs and clocks off the stamp sheet to make a background.
Thats it for part 1.

Here's a sneaky peek of part 2!

Happy Fathers Day

Today being Fathers day I thought I would share the card my son has made for his Dad

I left him completely on his own in my cupboard and this is what he came up with !

I hope you all agree he has made a great job on it, he has used the Docrafts Wellington toppers, these are great designs, and fab if you need a card quickly.
Harry has coloured the alphabet stickers with Promarkers to match the teddy bears scarf.
He has also inked around the edge of the backing card with aged mahogany distress ink and added the sentiment, also off of the die cut sheet.

Cheeky chap!
He does love his Dad so didn't need any encouraging to get the craft bits out !

Hope all the chaps in your lives have had a great day!

Time for Tea?

Just a quick post for today.
I wanted to show you that the Promarkers colour beautifully onto patterned papers.
These ones are the Dovecraft Tea party  range of papers and stamps.

I decided not to do any shading on the stamped cups except just a tiny grey shadow, but concentrated more on using a white gel pen to show highlights.
Promarkers being transparent show up the small pattern behind the colour giving an extra dimension.

I also used the Promarkers to edge each panel, primarily because I was getting low on plain cardstock !, but also because I like to have all my bits and pieces co-ordinating.

For the cup and "Tea" pot (we had a pole in class and decided its a coffee pot!)
I coloured with the Promarkers and white gel pen,
then after cutting them out stuck them to the front of my card, and then gave them a coating of
Glossy Accents.
If you would like to see the card close up you can see at Flutterby Crafts.

Happy colouring !

card for my big sis

Card for my Big Sis

Good day all, Sorry I haven't been posting much recently I have been a very busy bee lately and haven't had much time to do anything, especially crafting!
I wanted to share with you the lovely card that I made for my big sister Heidi.
s alot of you know we have been on a wild rollercoaster these past 18 months and wanted to make her a special card for her birthday.
I know technically there is no colouring in on it but I just have to share !

I have used the new Magnolia Grove papers from Kaisercraft, I'm sure you wil agree they are stunning, and i love all the sentiments on the Deluxe sheet.

I have made the flower on my cricut machine using the Cindy Loo cartridge.
I cut out 8 flowers starting at 1.5" upto 3" increasing by 1/4" with each cut.

I have even Decorated the inside of the card !

Hope you like it !

Happy colouring everyone
